Mezo Manifesto

About

Mezo is building a Bitcoin-powered financial ecosystem designed to make crypto feel like something everyone can use, not just the technically savvy. Their rallying idea is "Supernormal," the belief that Bitcoin should be as natural and familiar as the tools people already use every day. SoWhat, the creative agency leading the project, brought us in to design, illustrate, and animate a manifesto video that captures that vision. The film needed to make Bitcoin feel warm, accessible, and human in a space that often feels cold and complicated.

Our Approach

We developed an eclectic illustration style rooted in bold color, expressive characters, and everyday scenarios. The goal was to take Mezo's core message and ground it in moments people recognize: buying coffee, sharing a meal, navigating daily life. Every frame was designed to feel inviting rather than intimidating, pulling Bitcoin out of the abstract and placing it in the real world.

Our team built the visual system from scratch, creating original character designs, environments, and graphic textures that feel handmade and lively. The animation layers motion design with frame-by-frame illustration, giving the piece an energy that shifts between playful and purposeful. Bold typography and dynamic transitions keep the pacing sharp while the illustrations bring warmth and personality to every scene.

We worked closely with SoWhat on creative direction throughout, aligning the visual language with Mezo's brand positioning and making sure the narrative arc carried the manifesto's message with clarity and momentum.

The Result

The finished film tells a story about why Bitcoin should feel normal, not niche. It translates a complex financial concept into something you can feel and understand in under two minutes. As an animation and motion design studio working across crypto, fintech, and digital finance, this project reflects the kind of work we love most: making complicated ideas simple, human, and genuinely enjoyable to watch. The piece serves as a flexible brand tool that Mezo can use across their website, social channels, and investor presentations.
