Early Reading Program

About

Waterford.org needed a series of animated videos for their digital, adaptive early reading program, which teaches literacy skills to young children. These songs are part of a seven-video series designed to make learning foundational reading skills feel like play.

Our Approach

Our illustration and animation team created a vibrant, character-driven visual world for the series. Each video features original illustrations by Teddy Stevens with animation that keeps young learners engaged through color, movement, and musical rhythm. The animation style is warm and inviting, designed to hold little attention spans while reinforcing the educational content of each song.

The project builds on our ongoing relationship with Waterford.org, where we've developed a deep understanding of how to create animated educational content that works for young children without talking down to them.

The Result

A bright, engaging series of animated literacy videos that prove learning and entertainment are the same thing when animation is done right.
