About
Una is an award-winning animator, illustrator and zine publisher from Hamilton, Ontario. She’s worked in-house and freelance at a number of animation and design studios in Canada, and has directed two independent shorts. Most recently, she directed animation for a National Film Board production.
In her spare time, she publishes a yearly (ish) zine called Emotional Magazine and facilitates animation workshops. As a filmmaker, her goal is to explore emotions that she finds playful, ephemeral, and otherwise difficult to put into words.
Her most recent work, A Portrait of Tracy, is an experimental short doc that explores the echoes of childhood memory from an immigrant’s perspective: what's lost to time and distance, and what remains?
