George Shelbourn (MUTE's founder), had his first experience of animation at the tender age of 5. The stop animation class did not enthrall him at the time and he decided animation was not for him. After years of playing in a band and not quite reaching the dizzy heights he expected, he decided it was time for a "real job" and he gave animation another shot. After his first short film became a Vimeo Staff Pick, he hasn't looked back.
