About
Arena asked us to launch their new brand with a film that captures the pace and precision of AI benchmarking. Our goal was to translate their full visual identity into motion, making it feel exciting, technical, and unmistakably Arena.
Turning a Brand System Into a Moving Story
Arena's rebrand by Alright Studio introduced a sharp, modern identity built around measurement, progress, and transparency in the AI space. Our job was to take that entire system and bring it to life in a single film, from logo and typography to UI elements, data visualizations, and animated charts. The challenge was making something that felt fast and precise without losing warmth or clarity.
How We Approached It
We leaned into a mix of 2D and 3D, keeping the majority of the work in flat, graphic motion with dimensional moments that add depth where it counts. Every typographic animation was designed to feel intentional, every data point crafted to move with purpose. We collaborated closely with the Arena team, spending the first week refining the storyboard together before going into full production.
- Typography as motion. Every letterform earns its movement.
- Precision over flash. The pacing reflects the product: fast, measured, deliberate.
- Built to flex. Designed so Arena can extend the visual language across future content.
Visual Feel & Outcome
The film opens with energy and doesn't let up. Arena's palette pulls from the deep greens and blues of academia, a nod to the founders' roots and where the company started. Those colors anchor the piece against dark backgrounds, with data points and interface elements animating in tight, rhythmic sequences. The typography moves with a confidence that mirrors how Arena talks about itself. It's technical, but it breathes.
The finished piece gave Arena a brand launch moment that matches the ambition of their product, introducing the new identity to the AI community with clarity and momentum.
